What causes my lines and wrinkles?
Wrinkles can be caused by many factors such as exposure to sun and wind, your skin type, your complexion, weight changes, smoking, nutrition, and menopause.

Are there any age restrictions?
No. Facelifts are generally performed on patients between 40 and 70, but many people in their 70s and 80s also get very good results.

What will a facelift do for me?
Facelifts can't stop the aging process, but it can turn back the clock, making you look years younger.

When will I see the results?
After surgery, there will be some swelling and bruising, which subsides over the first few weeks. Once all the swelling and puffiness subsides you will see your results.

How long does a facelift take?
Facelifts generally take 3 to 4 hours. More time will be required if you are having additional procedures.

How long will I be in the hospital?
You will be in the hospital overnight so that medical personnel can monitor your recovery. Arrange to have someone take you home the following day and stay with you for 24 hours.

When will I be able to go out in public without people noticing anything?
In 10 to 14 days you should be to go out without any telltale signs of your facelift.

When can I return to my normal routine?
Most people return to work in 10 to 14 days. You may return to non-contact sports after three to four weeks.

How long will my facelift last?
On average, facelifts last between 7 and 10 years. You should remember however, that every person is different and many factors go into the aging process.

Can I have a facelift if I smoke?
You can have a facelift, but you must stop smoking for 2 weeks before surgery and 2 weeks after surgery. Nicotine constricts blood vessels and restricts blood flow required for healing.
