How long does the procedure take?
Breast reduction surgery can take three to six hours.

When can I go home?
Most women stay overnight in the hospital. You should arrange to have someone pick you up after the breast reduction surgery and take you home. You should have someone stay with you for the first 24 hours after the surgery.

When can I get back to my normal routine?
Most women return to their normal activities in one week. However, you will not be able to lift anything for the first two weeks and will not be able to lift anything heavy lifting for at least four weeks. For the first two weeks after surgery, you should avoid raising your arms above your head.
