Wrinkles are nothing to
worry about, unless of course they're yours. And worrying
will only cause more wrinkles. Wrinkles can make us
feel older and even worse look older. They can also
prevent us from looking as good as we feel. Wrinkles
are caused by years of smiling, laughing, and frowning
- each of these movements cause your facial muscles
to contract, which may cause lines and wrinkles. While
you may have earned all your worry lines, they don't
have to show.

is fast and relatively painless, and is quickly becoming
one of the most popular cosmetic procedures. This simple
office procedure uses an ultra-thin needle and typically
takes 10 minutes. Dr. Norman Markus uses a topical
numbing cream to minimize discomfort. Immediately after
BOTOX® Cosmetic
treatment, ice is placed to minimize swelling and bruising.
Most patients return to their normal social engagements
on the same day.
With each BOTOX® Cosmetic
injection, Dr. Markus targets the over-active, muscles
that cause movement and expression. How many injections
you need depends on the number of areas you want to
treat. For the neck or forehead, you can probably expect
between 8 and 12 injections; for frown lines between
the eyebrows, you can expect about 6 injections; for
the lines around the eyes, between 2 and 3 injections
for each eye.
Advanced BOTOX® Cosmetic
treatment is used to contour the eyebrow, essentially
raising and sculpting the eyebrow. In addition, crows
feet lines can be smoothed and upper lip lines softened,
allowing easier application of lipstick. Neck muscle
bands can also be smoothed, improving neck contour.
