Though BOTOX® Cosmetic injections can enhance your
appearance and your self-confidence, it probably
won't transform you into your idealized image or
change how other people treat you. Before you decide
to have BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment, you should
think carefully about your expectations and discuss
them with Dr. Markus.
Dr.
Markus will discuss with you your candidacy for treatment
as well as your specific circumstances. You may be
a good candidate for BOTOX® Cosmetic injections
if:
- You
have dynamic wrinkles on your face or neck
- You
understand the procedure and its benefits and limitations
- You
are in good physical and psychological health
What
BOTOX® Cosmetic Can
and Cannot Do. BOTOX® Cosmetic can temporarily
remove wrinkles by preventing the repeated facial expressions
that contribute to their formation. BOTOX® Cosmetic cannot
improve your skin's texture; to improve the texture
you should consider a chemical peel or laser skin
resurfacing. BOTOX® Cosmetic will not tighten
your skin; to tighten your skin you should consider
a face or forehead lift.
Who
Should Not Have BOTOX® Cosmetic Treatments. You should not
have BOTOX® Cosmetic injections if you have a neuromuscular
or bleeding disorder or a skin disease in the treatment
area. Woman should not have BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments
if they are pregnant or breastfeeding.
